Winter finally looks like it's drawing to a close which can only mean one thing, it will soon be summer festival season again. For Bloodstock Open Air in August that also means that they need to start firming up the list of bands who will get to play on the New Blood Stage….. step in Metal 2 The Masses 2024.
This Friday saw the “warm up” event to get everybody pumped and to announce the bands who will be competing in the upcoming Cheltenham heats.
This warm-up event showcased 5 previous winners of different regional heats.
First onto the stage were Cheltenham-based alt-metal trio ZOOKEEPER. Who performed on the Bloodstock New Blood Stage back in 2021.
Bringing some real energy next, winners of M2TM Birmingham 2023 NAMELESS; combining some 90s nu-metal with a more modern hardcore vibe that worked really well.
M2TM Devon 2023 winners, southwest-based modern metalers APATHY were up next.
TORCHBEARER the winners of M2TM Cardiff 2023 brought their in-your-face riffs and vicious vocals to proceedings.
The night was finished off by local lads and M2TM Cheltenham 2023 winners SKORA. Bringing some huge energy with their progressive hardcore and with the majority of the crowd there to see them, they absolutely brought the house down to close things out.
